DJ Bixo is the stage name of Inez Leniere, a Belgian-born DJ based in Málaga. She has been surrounded by music her entire life and brings that depth to every performance. Her sets draw on decades of artistic experience, a formal music education from the age of eight, and an instinctive feel for what moves a crowd.
Her mother, a pianist and singer, filled the family home with Pergolesi, Arvo Pärt, and Astor Piazzolla. Her father introduced her to flamenco, funk, and Motown. Those early influences shaped her ear in a way no music school alone could have. She started formal music studies at eight and has never stopped listening, learning, and expanding her musical frame of reference.
Before becoming a DJ, she worked as a professional dancer and later as a yoga and Pilates teacher. Both careers are built on reading bodies, timing, and physical awareness, and that background makes her approach to DJing genuinely different. She knows how movement and music interact, and she uses that knowledge to guide the energy of a room with real precision.
DJ Bixo does not play the same set twice. She reads the venue, the crowd, and the occasion, and builds her music selection around what that specific moment calls for. Whether she is playing an intimate sunset session on a terrace or warming up a high-energy dance floor, the approach stays the same: listen, adapt, and keep people engaged.
Her music spans genres without losing coherence. The range of influences she grew up with, from classical and world music to funk, soul, and electronic, gives her sets a texture that stands out. There is always a clear thread running through the music, even when the styles shift.
Inez speaks English, Spanish, Dutch, French, and German. That fluency makes communication with clients and venues across Europe straightforward, and it reflects a broader ease with different cultures and contexts that comes through in her music as well.
